so much new stuff

okay, no cool pictures to put up yet, but i'll get to that. kylee's helmet is officially off and her head is growing into a normal shape haha! she's now 11 months old--freaky how time flies!--and just figure out how to crawl a few weeks ago. yesterday she climbed up 5 stairs! so we're officially in trouble with her being mobile, she evens finds ways to get out of the living room when it's blocked off with pillows, she just keep rolling it with her body until it opens up for her. she is so much fun! well a lot has changed ... me and matt have been looking at homes (well, in august) and we found one we loved in our price range. we put in an offer the same day it was listed and because it was a short sale, we knew it was going to be a process. two weeks after we put in the offer, matt got laid off (two weeks later they offered him his job back ...) and i found a job teaching at ponderosa elementary 2nd grade. i'm having a lot of fun ... but let me tell you, teacher's definitely don't choose to teach for the money! but i'm so grateful to have a job now, with salary and excellent benefits. so i've been teaching for 2 weeks now and i'm loving it! i love the atmosphere at the school i'm at and all the teachers are so helpful. well it's now been two months since we started the "process" with our house and we've had to basically start over again just this week to find a bank who will approve us on my very new job. so we supposedly will know by tomorrow (Monday) whether or not a different bank will approve us and if all goes well, should be able to close by the end of the week (Friday). so matt and i are just waiting on pins and needles and ready to almost give up it's been such a pain. it'll all be worth it if we could just get it and be done with it haha. so we're now living at matt's parent's house because we already got rid of our apartment lease, planning on not staying for more than a month (and it's been a month and a half so far ...). it is sooo nice of them to let us stay here, and it's been really nice because they let us take over the whole basement. so now i'm working hard and matt's been working hard at school and taking care of kylee during the day. i think it's been a really good experience for him to stay home with her and have the bonding time that me and kylee already have had. it's been a nice change of pace (from being a full-time stay at home mom to being a more than full-time teacher). i'll post some non-helmet pics soon so you can see how cute kylee is. we're having a bday party for kylee on november the 21st (her really bday is on the 18th) so come and have some cake and icecream!

  5. We just bought a house and it was a MESS. They told us we would close by a certain date and we got strung along with closing dates for a month and a half. Our ppwk went through two underwritings and three audits (random).

HANG IN THERE, Don't give up. It will be SO worth it in the end. + you get $8000 :)

Congrats on the teaching job!!! I'm glad all of that licensing stuff got worked out, I'm sure you're an amazing teacher.
I am so happy for you guys. xoxoxo
